SPASH increases security after rumors

STEVENS POINT (WAOW) - The Stevens Point Area Public School District (SPAPSD) is taking significant steps to enhance security at all of its schools after rumors circulated throughout the community that a shooting would take place this Friday at SPASH. According to a press release, the rumor is unsubstantiated. However, the district is working with the Stevens Point Police Department with officers being placed at each school this week.
